Well my car is stock myself too but from what I've read on here... you need to get the headers before the cam in order to get the most out of the cam. If you're concerned with getting an A4 as quick as possible as soon as possible, get the stall first. Biggest bang for your buck mod. You also have to match the stall and the cam to each other. If you plan to get a 230/230 cam you probably will need at least a 3,800 stall. I'm planning on looking into a TR224 cam and a TCI 3,500 stall eventually when I start modding for a daily driver myself. I don't want much noticeable lope, both for the sake of improving interior comfort and for the sake of it not sounding too aggressive so as to provoke the attention of every cop and every ricer I run across.

Time and time again I have read that for an A4,you just can't beat the bang for the buck you get with a TC.I would try to also get a lid and a cutout (cheap exhaust gain for the mean time).

Then I would do Headers.

Good luck!

That is quite a diverse list of parts. The TC will make a huge improvement but, the cam you selected and with the 2.73 rear, you will need a loose TC. Probably in the 3800-4000 range. I had the 2.73's with a 3000 and 3600 stall TC and there was some looseness and can be annoying at times. Changing the rear gear will make the car better in many ways. If it were me, I would start with a 3600 stall TC with 3.42's. That is a great combination and will work with the cam that you listed. You have to step back and look at the big picture. The parts have to compliment each other to give the desired effect.

Default Great advise thank's

Yes I have an slp lid that was my first mod now I see the clear lids and want one it never ends but keeps me out of trouble. I have a list of all the parts to make everything work together but like most people need to save for mods. I will hold off on the cam and headers for now and keep an eye out for 3600-3800 stall 2.2 str. VIg,TCI,or Yank yes? anymore suggestions are always welcome,
Thank's alot,
nelson

This is the order you need to do them in for maximum results

Torque Converter, Headers, Cam

To see the most out of the cam, you're going to need the TC and headers. And The TC is going to show greater gains than the headers.

I'm debating the same 3 (except I don't have the money yet.) First go with the cheap bolt ons (lid, cut-out, pullies, ported throttle body, and some kind of ram air.) Although many people would skip the cutout and just get full exhaust... but that's $$$. I would go cheapo on everything else and get a torque converter ASAP. I now know I won't go as far as H/C or power adder for awhile, because that's when your power level becomes a problem for your gas mileage, transmissision, driveshaft, and rear end. I'm still a poor highschool student. I don't have the money to start replacing those kinds of things yet, and I really want my car to be reliable in the mean time as it is a DD.

Lid/filter, SFC, TC, headers, cam

I would get a 3500-3800 convertor as well.
