not a bad deal if no shipping is added to that cost. i'd say you could find cheaper ala 300 shipped, 300 + shipping etc. but if its in your area i'd give 350 and go pick it up. saves the hassle of waiting and you can check it out beforehand. i paid 350 shipped for mine, great shape and i needed it fast.

You don't NEED a tune for an ls6 intake. It is a very good swap. They are $450 new so I'd say it's a good deal. To install use this. Be careful when pulling it out (brake booster hose) do not let it break the oil pressure sending unit. See below. It's the green topped black thing sticking out at the back of the engine.

no you don't need a tune, but it wouldn't hurt. i guess it wouldn't hurt even on a stock car. i was just worried it would mess up the a/f but i needed a tune anyways. also does it come with the coolant lines? you need those.

I ended up buying mine new after I got one from a seller here but his supplier backed out, it was around $450 with gaskets, sensors, and lines, I figure if you get one used for 300, shipping is 30, lines another 40, and if you want the gaskets and sensors, more, thats close to what I paid, and mine was new.

now I'm not sure on this, but don't some LS1 F-body's have EGR like 98-00 or something like that and doesnt the LS6 not have EGR? If that was the case then he'd have to tune that out or something, im not 100% on that so i might be wrong

I see you're in Arizona, don't just listen to these guys without researcing on your own.
To my knowdledge Az, and outher SW states follow Ca emissions laws, and therefore you will need EGR, and AIR, and obviously stock stlyle exhaust. SLP sells and LS6 intake with EGR and AIR provisions. Check your local laws, etc....don't just jump into it....having EGR and AIR is only a 5-10hp loss, nothing really.

5-10hp. Plenty of info including dyno result on this site. It's a worthwhile mod, and a huge cash saver for most cars/setups vs 78 and 90mm intake setups. You need some displacement and/or forced induction to go beyond the limits of the LS6, especially when price is considered.
