1. The gears for the headlight motors break
2. If you mod an M6 car the stock clutch will hate you.
3. on the 99+ cars the coolant temp gauge is useless
4. Everything stated in the posts above.

The 10 bolt can handle a good deal of power in an auto trans car, so long as you don't get massive wheel hop.
Oil pump failures are not common, only a small percentage have failed.

wow more than I expected, mustangs arent perfect either tho, How well does the stock ls1 block handle Hp, I know my stang stock 5.0 motor can only handle around 450rwhp, then its like playing with fire after that....Im planing on a procharger for the ls1, what is a safe boost to run on stock ls1 block?...Im not sure where to start on what parts are good for heads, For mustangs AFR heads are the best, what heads are best for the ls1, Is afr good on the ls1? what about lengenfelter(sp?) package, http://www.lingenfelter.com/pack_cf1998_350.htm#
I was think of starting with that then going with a procharger on top of it, then Ill be happy.

An LS1 on stock rods/pistons can handle over 500 rwhp. Just make sure you get a good tune. I wouldn't go over 8psi on the stock stuff, only because of the high compression.

I honestly think just about everyone of these types of performance cars have consistent problems to them (domestic or not). Its just a matter of putting up with those in order to enjoy the performance.
Speaking of which, my passenger side window motor has been getting slower....and slower.....and slower....
