Question From Auto to Manuel

I have a 2002 SS with an automatic tranny. I would like to keep the car but with a six speed manual.

Is it possible to have a performance shop put in a six speed tremec in place of the automatic?

Any issues, suggested cost?

Thanks

A4 to M6 conversions are common. you need the tranny and yur gonna have to cut up the floorboard a bit so have a shop to do it. someone makes a full kit to do it with but its reather costly. why are you looking to go to an M6 anyway? A stalled and shift kit auto will slaughter an M6

It's going to be expensive especially having a shop do it. If I had to guess I would say about 3 Grand for the swap but I could be wrong.

Trade the car in. I would keep the Auto. With a high stall converter, it will be faster than an M6.

imo you get get a stall and shift kit auto would be better on the straight line. M6 are better for turns.
