alarm. will not start car

alarm. will not start car I just bought a 2000 M6 Z28 and a week later the light on the dash stayed on the car will not start, so I unhooked my neg batt. Any advise on how to bypass the security or get it fixed

Factory or aftermarket? Does your Camaro have an after market alarm on it or not?
If it does have an after market alarm there is probably a starter kill relay wired into the car. It would dissect the starter wire (purple). Remove that from the equation and the car should start.
If it does not have an after market alarm, there is a possibility your VATS chip in your key is bad. Just do a search...there have a been a bunch of write-ups on how to bypass VATS.
