Default need help

is there a decent sized cam i can put in my car with the stock lifters, pushrods and so on

nope there isnt, if you want to go with a cam you have to at least install valvesprings and change the pushrods to hardened or chromoly, otherwise you should expect to break stuff.

superchargedbandit offer tech help instead of critisizing. obviously if he wants to do a cam he wants more power

Stock pushrods get bent all the time form the stock cam, there is not way you should ever use stock pushrods on a cam car. The same with the valve springs, and the timing chain.

Yup like mentioned before your going to have to switch out at least your valvesprings and pushrods. Everything else is "optional" but while your in there its a good idea to swap in a new oil pump, and timing chain. As for lifters, some people change them, and others dont because it requires pulling the heads. If your car is higher milage, i would replace them, as well as the valve seals.
