I would be building it for street/strip use. I know I want to go NA all thw way no nitrous nor FI of anykind. Just wanting to build a street powerhouse that puts down some good numebers at the track. I will be building this slow since Id be learning at the same time. I do have a few know how guys to help me with it but better to learn doing it myself vs jsut buying a turnkey. Also is there anything needed to be change to the stock fbody's to accept this motor except of course the drivetrain to handle the added power and tunnig. thanks Looking for 550-600hp thanks

The LSX block is a bow tie block from GM performance parts, it is iron and has a number of differences from the production blocks, most notibly 6 bolts per cylinder and main first oiling.
The LS7 is a production 4.125 bore block that comes in the new Z06. It is aluminum.
You will need LS2 covers and conversion harness usually about $225 everything else is a straight swap.
If your looking for a reliable 454+ the LSX is a pretty nice setup. But a resleeved LS2 in 427 block is a lighter powerful setup too. Either way I HIGHLY recommend you have a company like LME build the shortblock after that everything is pretty easy.
A 402 is an economical way to get to where you want to be, you could use the difference in money in some nice heads...
