Is there anything wrong with a autometer tech if its reading 1400rpm or 1500rpm when its not hooked up. does it just need 2 be calabrated

Thats what i was thinking but i dont really know noting about them. Hes asking 100$ for it.

have you tried hooking it up yet and seeing if it reads accurately then?
