Or you could get some high-flow cats. That's next on my agenda.

Guys who see 20-25+ rwhp with headers/ory/catback/lid are usually those who have 01-02 ls1's as they had the best flowing heads and the ls6 intake. Dont be dissapointed though, just all the more reason to toss a cam in there!

Not to burst your bubble but my car picked up 30 horse and 34 tq when I put my long tubes on. I already had an MTI lid and an SLP 2OTL cat back so the supporting mods were there.

Not bursting my bubble at all as there are some very generous dynos out there so they are just a basic tool to estimate power gains. Real gains are on the track. On average though most people will see 15-20 rwhp with headers ory on a pre 01 ls1 and approx 20-25 on a 01+ ls1. Ive seen guys claim 360+rwhp with longtubes and full exhaust and minor bolt ons (ls6 intake, lid, ported TB) and we all know thats very generous. My 98 z28 with a custom grind 232/238 cam, ls6 intake, ported stock tb, headers, ory, magnaflow, 25% pulley, lid, and full tune by Dez Racing only put down 370 rwhp on the dyno (and I was an M6 with stock 3.42 gears) however on the street and track I was able to outrun cars (including other ls1's) with dynosheets reading up to 400 rwhp and it wasnt due to driver error.

Good choice with the Magnaflow. Everyone compliments how my car sounds with longtubes, ORY, Magnaflow, and a cam.

The Magnaflow is my favorite exhaust. It made my 02 SS so nice and mellow until WOT, I loved it. Just look and see if your tail pipes are straight. My driver side pipe was crooked and I had to take it to a muffler shop and have it removed to bend it slightly for $40. Stand at the back of the car and look down. Same thing is going on my next car.

Yea the car was definately fun and Don at Dez racing (aka slowhawk on this board) did such a good job tuning it that it had fantastic idle quality even with a large cam in there. I have an idle and rev clip of my setup if you want. Just click this link:

Figures. Its an easy fix for a muffler shop. They were pissed at me, I was under there with a tape measure making sure it was exact when they finished. Its only off by 1/4 inch but it is noticable. Magnaflow should correct thier jig. Still the best CB IMO.
