Default New PB on nitrous tonight

i got a chance to go to the track with some friends today. went the other week and ran a new pb on motor. mods
slp lid, ported tb, ls6 intake, 232/234 110+3 cam, long tubes, and 3.90's. dynos at 390/360
60ft 1.690
330 4.946
1/8 7.658
mph 90.20
1000 9.973
1/4 11.927
mph 115.64

my nitrous kit is a hsw dry plate. jetted at 150. on the same dyno it picks up 110hp/140tq.......still wonder why it dont make 150hp.......

1st pass i did a sissy 2k launch and went 11.7 @ 125.2 with a 1.94 60ft
2nd pass more of a launch but still alot of wheel spin. 11.42 @ 126.36 with a 1.818 60ft. that was my best mph ever.
3rd pass i for got to turn the nitrous on, but i did 1/2 track and still went 122
4th pass. mabye around a 4k launch.
11.283 @ 125.32 with a 1.645 60ft.
5th pass spun and went 11.461 @ 125.26 1.841 60ft

all in all im happy. i would have liked to get in the 10s, and get a few more mph out of it.

any one have an idea where the other 40hp could be? the cam is a 232/234 on a 110. so its got 13* overlap......

I dont know too much about nitrous, but I think those kits are measured at the motor. So you are probably getting close to 150 at the flywheel, but only 110 at the wheels.

Hmm, easy 10s if you could get the 60ft down just a little bit more...

Last time I talked to HSW, they said their kits were RHWP rated...

I agree that dual .044s should make more power.

Starting from the top we need to check all the parameters the system is operating under.

1) Bottle Pressure....start and end of run
2) Fuel Pressure...does it stay constant
3) A/F Ratio....and how consistant across the RPM range
4) Timing....NA and Nitrous

Now to help with understanding the pwer the car is making.....I need to know a little about the car.

NA power
Trans/stall/clutch/gear
Tire you dyno'd on
Type of Dyno

A few other factors that you need to consider is bottle weight, bottle position, and nitrous filter.

When did you dyno the car?

bottle psi is in the 950 range
never had a fuel psi gauge on the car. its got a racetronix 255 pump with hot wire kit and svo green tops.
a/f is 11.8 and steady
n/a timing is 27 pulling 5* on nitrous

n/a makes 390
t-56 trans, ls7 clutch, pst drive shaft, 9" turetrac with 3.90s
dyno is a mustang dyno
dynoed on normal tires

bottle was all ways full on the dyno runs and at the track
used your brackets that came in teh kit, and a 860 spare tire mount
and the filter is the one that comes in the all out kit 6an on one end and 4an to the noid

Its possible the only issue is the Mustang dyno...they typically read lower.

You might try adjusting the timing a little and see what it does. I would start by pulling a littl mor, and see what the HP or MPH does. You can also watch the plugs for signs of pre-ignition and add timing back in if the car loses power by pulling timing out.

Here is a link to plug reading.

could it hurt by puting bigger jets in? like keep upping the jets till it makes 150 whp?
