Hey everyone, so i recently got rear ended, so i fixed and painted my car, with some extra money to redo my exhaust and suspension. I am also considering getting a nitrous kit for it and woult mount the bottle under my subs in my trunk. My main question is, if i get rear ended again, and the girl hits hard enough to get my bottle, what happens?

That's why it's bolted into a bracket with a blowdown tube going outside the car. Also leaving the valve shut helps prevent a nitrous discharge into the car. On the off chance the valve got knocked off and the bottle came out of the bracket, yes it could fly off.

If you get hit that hard I think what happens to the bottle is the least of your worries.

unless your going to mount your bottle in your bumper i wouldnt worry about it that much... If so take it out until track day

I had a 3rd gen with the bottle in the spare tire well. I got rear ended pretty hard and it didn't affect the bottle at all.
