air in nitrous.......
Hey guys, i just got 2 bottles filled from a different speed shop than i normally go to. When the shop gave me the bottles back, one was cold and one was hot to the touch.... i weighed the bottles and they both were about 2 pounds from full. I put the bottle that was hot in the car and it seems like there is alot of air when i purge and never seems to get a full hit of nitrous. I believe they switched mother bottle when filling them. Im guessing when the mother bottle ran out, they filled my bottle w/ air???? But im still wondering why one bottle was so hot??? due to compressed air? Any input is appreciated, I plan on going back to these guys and having them re fill the bottles.....

I have seen this. the air will keep the pressure high so it will make heat. we never use the ladt 10 lbs of nitrous out of a mother bottle since it always seems to get alot of air in the small bottle. Id take it back and ask them to blow it down and refill it. About every 5-10 refills we will either blow them all the way down or turn them up side down and blow the pressure off to get the air out.

If its a dip tube bottle I flip it upside down like said above. If its not a dip tube bottle just leave it upright. Crack the **** and release some of the air in the bottle.

Sounds like to me the bottle got too hot and they quit filling it and hoped u would not notice... i fill bottles everyday and i have to switch big tanks while filling a bottle but it does not stop me from filling it, i get it full.... he is right above the air will build some heat, but sounds like they just didnt fill it all the way, because at the end of the day u cant make air weigh....
