Default Who else purges through the motor?

Just curious as to who else does this besides me? I noticed that the motor is slightly crisper when I purge it through the motor rather then when I used to purge externally.

im going to go out on a limb and say not too many. mostly because its illegal in single power adder classes to purge into the motor. so are you purging before or after the MAF?

It's illegal? **** I didn't know that. I'm running a direct port so all cylinders take advantage of the purge.

so then do you have a seperate purge solenoid or do you just hit the kit while doing the burnout? if its the latter, then that would be legal.

Rob, no I don't have a seperate purge solenoid. After I do my burnout I put the car in neutral, arm the nitrous, rev the gas up to 3500 rpms and push the purge button. That **** revs like a ****!

I purge dry during burnout. That helps clearing the air out so it hits harder on activation down the line.

What are the advantages of purging through the motor? I could maybe understand if it was midrace on the highway but in the burnout box I don't get.

if you dont have a purge kit you just hit the switch while doing your burnout and it will activate the kit. this get all the air out of the system before you stage so there is no lag when you launch. basically its what you do if you dont have a seperate purge system

Doesn't that make for alot of unnecessary stress on the motor? Free reving a motor can be killer on parts like the rod bolts and such. What kind of rpm's are you guys seeing when you do this? Is it just a quick blip of the switch or is it almost to redline?
