Default Converting to Single Plane & Nitrous Outlet Direct Port

Towards the end of the year last year I decided to upgrade my stock ported LT1 heads and intake an move on to something a little more capable. The old setup had a Nitrous Outlet 58mm plate and it did it's job well. The new setup will have AFR 210's, LE cam, Edelbrock Vic E, 860 LT1 Elbow and a AS&M monoblade TB and should be a lot more capable than the old setup.

The intake and elbow are getting powder coated, but I wanted to post up some of the pics that I have already of some of the killer work that Nitrous Outlet has done.

Vic E before any machine work

Removed the thermostat neck sealed and coolant passages. Then it was media blasted to give the finish a fresh cast look.

Sealed up the distributor hole with a custom made press-fit aluminum plug.

A sneak peek before the powder coat...

Big props to Charles at Nitrous Outlet on the absolutely fantastic machine work!! Once the intake is back from getting powder coated and Dave get's everything re-assembled, I'll post up some more pics of the finished results. It's going to be awesome!

Kyle, Im droping off the intake and elbow at the powder coaters in the morning. Charles just finished machining the solenoid brackets off the elbow..
Its going to look killer when done.

The shafts have been upgraded in the tranny. I'm more worried about my clutch now. Guess I'm gonna have to win the lottery to get a McLeod ST and a bell housing.

We did some test-fitting this weekend to see where to put the direct port rails. So I snapped a quick pic on the phone. The rails just need to be drilled and cut to length and Dave should be able to finish her up.

So I went up to Waco and visited Dave this weekend came home with this.

I can't say enough about the time and care that Dave puts into these direct port setups. Now I gotta hurry up and get the fuel lines installed.

What kinda hood are you using? Do you think this setup will clear a stock hood?

I had a Sun Coast Creations Raptor. By the time you put a CAI on it, I don't think it will fit under a stock hood.
