Well I think that your M6 friend needs to jump in a nitrous A4 car and take it for a ride. When spraying through, the nitrous hits the tranny hard, a stock A4 will not last very long. If you don't believe me PM Debian Dog, he will tell you all about his. If you get a window switch you want set the shut off at around 5800-5900 rpm for a 6,000 rpm shift. The nitrous reacts so quick I don't think that you would loose any more than a tenth or so in the quarter.
Basicly, the window switch is just cheap insurance for us guys running mostly stock A4s. So far mine has seen close to 20 15lbs bottles thown at it and it operates like it did when it was new. I was only spraying a dry 125 shot last year and I'm not sure it's going to be able to handle my new TNT kit.

ummm.....NO!! Manually shifting a 4l60 will cause the line preasure to build more slowly.......causing toasted clutch packs(ask me how i know)........
Put the car in drive(NOT OD), and let the window switch do the work for you........your tranny will thank you for it

I had that exact same set up last year. TNT F1 100 pills, 222-226 566-569, vig 3200....and I made 503 rear wheel, at 11.5 a/f, for a high. Your fuel pump is fine, but GET A WINDOW KIT. I sprayed from 3000-6200. Spraying THROUGH your shift points will destroy your tranny, likewise with MANUALLY shifting a stock 4L60E. DO NOT DO EITHER OF THESE! You can call numerous performance shops, such as RPM (TNT Dealer) in Lewisville, TX 972-434-2151, and they will set you all up with what you need to know.

I am not an expert, but I have to ask about the empirical data collected to say spraying thru the shifts is not good.
Last year and half, I spray my car minimum of 150shot, stock rear, 3000 stalled stock trans, hell stock bottom. In 12 months, I ran oer 600 runs, as did Drew778, both of us went thru numerous bottles of N2O spraying thru shifts and outta the hole almost exclusively. Andrew trans finally burnt up the 3-4 clutch band, and mine blew the clutch pack altogether again after oer 600runs, and probably 200+ of those being nitrous assisted. Nitrous junkies, yes. Manually shift the A4-you gotta be shitting me, NEVER shift it manual unless you have a manual valvebody.
Thats just my observation on my facts of life with an Auto and nitrous.
My recommendation A$ or M6. Do what you can afford. Get the window switch, FPSS, Heater, Gauge, Purge kit, Blow Down tube and fitting. M6, do not spray out the hole on sticky tires and or track with a strong clutch.

I ran 50 bottles at least and sprayed through every single shift. A WOT switch isn't necessary, but it's a good safety device. Don't spray below 3,000rpm. That is all. Have fun!

Just keep the fluid fresh and the filter clean and have fun.

A friend of mine used to spray a 100 Dry shot on totally stock motor(Lid & Cutout), stock converter, stock PCM. He would leave on the motor and hit the spray about 30ft out. Went 11.8 at 119mph on Dr's. Numerous passes, no problems.

FWIW, I was spraying a 150 shot as well. I can't emphasize enough about not spraying below 3,000rpms. The car will haul major *** on the juice at 2,500rpm, but the ramifications are too great IMO.

All good advice. I spray through too... I destroyed the first tranny by being STUPID and POed. Bumped the shift duration and shift firmness too 100% and sprayed it. Ran the numbers I was looking for but never saw Drive again Still spray though.
