Default Any big shot sprayers use the timing tuner?

Just curious if anyone out there spraying 250 and up even consider using one. Are most guys just running one tune with the stock PCM?

I don't know why someone wouldn't want to run one of these or something similar unless your car was being run nitrous only. The timing retard would be significant I would think on a 250-300 shot.... I wouldn't want to sacrifice NA performance just to run nitrous.

I bought one but haven't put it in yet, but I won't be spraying more than a 200 for awhile.

I run a TNT 200 RWHP shot on my Impala SS and i have one tune. You need to retard the timing about 2 deg per 50hp sprayed.

I usually run 34 deg all motor and 28 deg at WOT on the nitrous.

On my 348ci forged setup I ran a 200 plus shot on it with the Timing Tuner. Worked just fine.

I'm just trying to avoid having to use 2 pcms. 1 for track, and one for street.

It works.. You can program it to decrease how much timing you want when you spray. Once you stop spraying it will revert back to the NA tune. Plus if you are running race gas you can increase the timing if you want.

well, i still dont like them Ryan. but if they work for your app, shoot, go for it. my lil ol garage built motor went over 720 RWTQ on stock timing plus 2* and pump gas w/ a relitively safe AFR

BTW, did you find a set of heads? i ran across a set if you havent got them yet.
