Default Want to learn about methanol ??

Hi guys

i´m interested to know something about methanol

i´m in Iceland and i can get it here for very good price.

So how can i use it whith my setup and what is needed to be done to use it.

Setup:

NA motor 11.4:1 CP
Nitrous plate kitt and a standalone fuel cell
HPT for tuning

I use 93 premium pump gas on motor $8 a gallon :ack: and i can get Race gas Sunoco supreme 110MON oct in the cell for $25 a gallon

.

That's insane prices.
It would be cheaper to add compression, injectors and use alcohol only!!
Plenty of us use alcohol more & more everyday, I just switched myself.
You could get rid of the 2nd fuel system, and make more power and run cooler for much cheaper!!

I was just thinking could i use it instead of race gas that i put in the standalone cell for the nitrous because it´s "cheaper" or maby blend it whith either racegas or pump gas in there

the methanol is a icelandic product so it´s alot alot cheaper

thanks

.

You would need a expert to set that up.

No one I know would be able to tune that. Did you call the forum sponsors yet??
Call Monte Smith Performance and see if he has a tune up for a split system like that!!
The guys I know do it opposite that. They use methanol for the engine, and race gas for the stand alone.

Good luck.

Talk to Monte or Steve Johnson at Induction Solutions although Dave Vasser(nitro dave) can probably steer you just as good.
