Default cam/nitrous

sup guys. my buddy has a 2001 5.3 with 40k on it. the motor has ls6 cam and a good valve train with ls6 head gaskets. my question, is the ls6 cam a good cam to spray with and hes doing this on pump gas how much could he spray a stock motor. also what timing would you run when the nitrous is all in he doesn't have a stepped retard box just goes straight to whatever timing we set it at when nitrous is activated.

thanks

How much are you looking to spray?

To answer your question, yes you can spray it with that cam. But you're doing yourself an injustice and would be much happier with a grind in the .60x/22x area. Check out the classifieds as I'm sure there are several floating around for a good price. You don't need a nitrous cam for that little amount that you plan on spraying.
