Thinking about nitrous
So I'm thinking about going the nitrous route to be a little different from the ls scene in my area, they're all turbo'd. As of now I have a 99 camaro ss m6 with a eagle 383 stroker kit, stock heads that have been ported and polished, small cam but don't know the specs, some cheap headers and exhaust. The car was bought this way but plan to make some changes. I plan on going to a fast 102 intake and tb, some prc 225 heads and a ms3 or similar cam. If you have any recommendations please throw them out there. I'm looking for 11's on motor and low 10's with juice. What size shot would you throw at it. Also thinking about hp tuners for software but what should I use for the nitrous control.

Nos 1000
The best advice would start with a "dry" NOS/"wet" NOS question.
Would your choice be Dry/Wet ?
The "entry" controller I manufacture is the NOS-1000, a low cost wet/dry NCU that has basic PWM based on MAP/RPM objects with items like "flat shift" included.
You can also use TPS/RPM if desired.
I would need more information for a HP increase. (Hi/Low 11's now ?)

Good morning sound like you have a very good starting point. When going with nitrous, we will recommend a few things to get yourself started. First thing I would recommend is going with a after market fuel pump and hot wire kit such as racetronix for example will work. This will allow proper voltage to the fuel pump to supply the fueling requirements that nitrous needs. If you are to go to a fast 102MM intake we do make a specific kit for this intake manifold. Our kit will for sure take care of your nitrous needs. To keep nitrous consistent and to have the most longevity in your motor I would recommend some supporting accessories. Purge kit, bottle heater kit, pressure gauge, nitrous filter, window switch, timing ignition controller (LNC 2000) 2 step colder spark plugs (Ngk BR7EF) These will ensure your set up is SAFE. You will need a retune when spraying nitrous. The LNC will allow you to keep your all motor tune and when you activate the nitrous arming switch the LNC 2000 will then pull the designated amount of timing set in the box. This will help you from having to have multiple tunes for all motor tune and nitrous tune. If you have any questions feel free to call me or email me 254-848-4300-EXT 109 houston@nitrousoutlet.com and I will be glad to help you out. Links below will show you everything I have mentioned.

Thanks for the input. I do plan on going wet. That is why I plan to go with the fast intake to use your hard line kit with it. I haven't made any passes with the car yet but as I've been reading seems like those bolt ones will get me in the ball park of my goals. Could I run just the LNC 2000 or should I run that along with an hp tuner. Also currently running 36lbs injectors will that be enough or should I move up to large ones.

You will still want to use the LNC 2000 to pull timing from the all motor tune that its currently tuned with. If not then you would need to have two tunes through HP tuners one all motor tune, and one Nitrous tune. What fuel pump are you running currently in your fuel tank. We always recommend to have an aftermarket pump as a stock fuel pump would not be safe to supply the extra fuel requirement of the nitrous system safely.

NOS Camshaft Design
The Camshaft for NOS is ALSO a GREAT "street" grind, good for day driving and mileage.
We "bring" in more Oxygen (air) when the NOS is heated from combustion.
Thus a lower Intake Lobe Duration requirement.
Thus a higher Exhaust Lobe Duration requirement.
I like about a twenty (20) degree "split".
I like Lobe Centers of 116* to 124* for NOS.
I like a more "sane" Intake Lobe Lift amount.
NOS creates MORE "low end" torque, good for "wider" L/C's.
There are also "progressive" and "staged" NOS systems, these effect the camshaft design.
The OEM LS-7 camshaft is a great "day" NOS camshaft, with a "song" price. (a 2nd)
These are GENERAL specifications, SURE a grind suited to your specific needs may perform the way you require.
I also fit NOS/Propane "wet" systems.
Would that interest you ?

It's going to be a little bit before I get to buy any spray parts I just picked up a ls6 intake and I'm going to save to have a direct port set up. At this point I'm just trying to piece together a solid n/a build with all the supporting mods for when the go go juice funds are in order
