Default Nos with 6speed questions.

Just got a Nos 05177 kit for my 00 FRC Corvette 6speed. I am about to buy a window switch. I wanted to know what people are doing about making it not spray in first gear? I seen a pic where someguy put micro switchs in his shifter so when in 1st gear the nos will not fire. I would like to do this also. Does anyone know where I can get that another one of those switches (I have one for the gas pedal). And does anyone know how I would wire it up not to fire if in gear?
Thanks
-Steve

With high TQ/HP, 4.10's or higher, and a no full slick tire, traction issue.

That would be my case anyway when I drop in my NX kit in the fall.

ahh.. i was just assuming with the 12bolt you had some good tires. its worth it because .1 in the 60' is .2 in the 1/4. also the tq is the sprays best advantage thats why its best downlow. i guess im just old skool.

Spray out of the hole!!!!!!!!!!!! Once you get use to it you will not go back. If traction does not hold just back of the throttle a little and the juice will shut off. You will see the difference in times as stated above, usually .2 or more.

I got mine from Radio Shack. Make sure it's the three prong type (open or closed use) (pedal sw is 2 prong) , so when in first gear it breaks electrical path on the way to wot sw which is making contact and waiting for you to shift out of first to complete circuit.

If that doesn't work (helped in my case but not enough-dual stage also) throw a set of these bad boys on there.

I would spray outta the hole but I'm still going to be runnin stock tires (ehhh run craps) and they spin alot in first anyways. If I ever put some drags on her I will spray in first.

If you are pinching pennies, you can set your WOT switch if electric to a little delay, this allows me to get threw first before it sprays. just a suggestion
