New best times!!
I have got the NOS working the way it is ment to and WOW!!!
The car is almost stock with a lid , cat-back and NOS with a tune and that is all. The car ran
7.585
60' 1.758
@ 97.19 mph
It is an A4 car I was happy when they told me I could not run any more with out the proper safety equipment.
What would this be in a 1/4?

Yup that would be a good idea to go to a 1/4 mile track.....you definately did good... i ran a 13.3 at 103mph...so you have to definately be in the low 12's maybe high 11's.....when do you hit your nitrous...i just have mine done, its an a4 and im just wondering when a good time to hit it is and how many times....thanks

+1, I come out of the hole at about 2k and then try to put the pedal through the floor, mine is set up on a WOT switch so it does not go off till I let off.

i have a WOT switch also. but, i use the power switch as my 'activation' switch. i floor it, then power the system at 2000 rpms. at the end of the track, i let off the throttle and the WOT switch deactivates the system.
yes, it's ok to hold it the entire 1/4 mile. pretty sure that's what you meant by the whole time. some will caution you about not spraying through shifts. wife's car is still on stock trans and converter.

What size shot are you using? what kit is it? it sounds like it is working great!!!!!!

hey Kens98... nitrous is not like it is in the movies, where they hit the button one time and the thing takes off, and it sprays for a few seconds. Most kits are setup with a WOT switch or a button. So as long as you are wide open ar are holding the button, it is spraying.

Hitting the nitrous below 3000 RPMs is just stupid! You are risking a nitrous backfire that will shatter your intake or blowing your engine from to much pressure. If I were you I would get a window switch and set it to 3000 rpms(ON) and 6000 rpms(OFF) for the tranny shifts.

yeah right. you just do it your way, and i'll do it mine. people that say that is just scared and succumb to the belief of fuel puddling is all. calling people stupid for doing the things they do is what's stupid. here's one for you. people that only run 100 shot are pansies. not so nice now is it? next time say something like i don't agree with activating nitrous below 3000 rpms. oh, and it's N2O not NO2. two molecules nitrogen to one molecule oxygen.
fuel isn't going to puddle at 2000 rpms. 8 cylinders pulling air at 33.33 revolutions per second (2000 rpms). and let's use a small 200 cfm of air per cylinder. so, 200 x 8 x 33 / 2 = 26,400 cfm per second!!! and that's just at that rpm. and we won't even get into rate of acceleration of the motor in first gear.
now, is it more stressful on a motor? is any part you add that increases torque and horsepower to a motor as stressful? well, of course.

My car has always had a high MPH for some reason. I am running a 125 shot that put 100hp to the rear wheels. Hear is the time slip.

One last thing to end on a positive note, I like the way you document your progress as you mod your car. I wish I would have taken the time to do that with mine.
