Default MSD didital switch problem

On the dyno, the window switch display started showing erratic numbers for rpms during the run. It would rev up fine then all of the sudden it would flash random numbers during the run. The dyno showed power drops during the times the rpm switch freaked out. I redid the connection on the tach wire. Went to the track and still felt that the N2O was shutting on and off. Is the tach wire connection still the problem, or is there another problem.

I don't have any suggestions for you, but I had a car on the dyno doing some real erratic things and it had a MSD window switch as well. I'll throw it back on and watch the display. I wasn't watching it last time.
I'll repost when i get to it, probably won't be for a week or so though.

could be tach, power or ground connections.

do you have a fuel pressure safety switch? you could be losing fuel preesure resulting in a grounding out. Check it out

I have a FPSS and a MSD Digital. It seems to work, but it is in my glove box on my vette so I can make on the fly adjustments. I never have watched it while I was running at the track, or on the dyno, but so far it seems to be working fine.

I didn't wire this one up, my installer did. The used to have it ON all the time, but they didn't like that and switched it to come on ONLY when my nitrous button is Armed.

Good Luck and I hope I don't run into the same problem. I saw a few issues myself with the MSD, but most were wiring issues I think.

Hope you fix it.

I do have the FPSS hooked up. The fuel pressure was pretty steady the last time it was checked. I think it dropped 1 psi the whole run. Has anyone ever adjusted the FPSS?

I'd bypass the FPSS for a run and see if it removes the problems. Those FPSS's can be a PITA to get to work consistently.
