Window switch and shift points
Couldn't find it with a quick search so...
For those of you that have window switches and don't spray through your shifts (auto trannys), how many RPMs below your shift point does the window switch kill the nitrous?
Side question: About where should I set the shift point in my truck anyways? Reg. cab, short bed. 4.8L with e-fans, long-tubes, ORY, 2300 stall, 3.42s with a powertrax...
Appreciate it!

I don't know about trucks, but on my car I had a pill for 5800 and the shift point is at 6000...but with my stall, and some help from some people on this board, I figured out that the window switch was turning the nitrous on and off from about 5200 and up. Well the "surge" that I was feeling was a combination of things, knock retard and what we call "torque converter flare" jumping up really fast a touching the window switch. Well I raised my rev limiter to 6700 and put a 6600pill in the window switch and haven't had any problems with it. My buddy has a truck that looks a lot like yours that started life out as a v6 and we swapped a 6.0L in it and he sprays a 150 shot on his, and with the stock torque converter he hasn't had any problems with it, so something to watch out for.
