Do a search, but the short answer is they are different than normal solenoids. They are rated for continuous use, while a 'normal' nitrous solenoid can only be on for 30seconds or so before they get to hot.

Vinny is right. I got the NOS remote (solenoid) opener and that biatch is huge, easy couple pounds it seems. There is no way a normal noid will last in that application.

The bottle noid we offer is a 1.5/2 amp continuse use type noid. Because of this low amprage you can wire it directly without a relay, and also leave it on. However, I still use relays myself. They have a small inner plunger that opens first and allows pressure to equalize on both sides of main/large plunger. This is done so it can open with minimul amps and keeps wear an tear at bay. It's rated for 175hp. Let me know if I can help.

I started a thread about this a few weeks back:

Hope it helps.
