Default How are you guys shiping or getting your used nitrous kits?

I went to ups to ship a nitrous kit I sold and they told me that they wouldnt ship the bottle even empty. Does that sound right?

Who did you use to ship or recieve your used nitrous kit?

Any help would be appriciated even if I am asking in the wrong forum as I would like to get this shipped out ASAP

My new kit came UPS, don't know why they would distiguish between used or new. Your bottle still have all the markings on it? I understand shipping the bottles empty, but new or used should not matter.

Go to fed-ex they will ship it, or just about any other place including another UPS pick up center. Since there is no nitrous in the bottle there should be no reason to have to mark it as any kind of hazmat/dangerous goods. Just write down "autoparts" as a description.

UPS is such a pain in the @ss. I have sent out boxes with the NX logo on it, and they returned them to me because of the word nitrous on it. I was so pissed I ended up on the phone for hours with them and now understand the rules very well.
Heres the deal when shipping anything nitrous related with UPS.
If there is a bottle in the box you need to write on all sides of the box "EMPTY BOTTLE" If you are shipping something in a NX or NOS box and there is no bottle inside write"NO BOTTLE"
Since I started doing that I haven't had a problem yet.

yep.. I have had the smae problems.Even with righting all over the box.ATTENTION UPS this bottle is new.Not pressured... EMPTY...

I still got it back and that was next day air.. Now I box it in a blank box with no righting and put that note all over the box inside that box incase they open it. Then I threatend to cancell my account with then if they did not get it right.
