Biggest shot on stock motor
I'm looking at this kit (Harris Speed Works Sudden Impact Big Hit Dual Nozzle Wet Kit). Just wondering how big you can go. I'll be getting a new in-tank fuel pump of course.

Most people will say 150 shot, some have done a 200 progressive shot on the stock block successfully
my opinion on the 200 shot is that there is no room for any error, and your block is on borrowed time

Well heres my .02 It seems that when the manfuacturer rates these kits at a 150 shot, you wont get that gain at the wheels. I have a 150 shot and I actually see a gain of around 130Hp at the wheels, so a 200 shot rated may only get you 170Hp, which on a otherwise stock motor seems safe to me, provided the fuel system is up to par, colder plugs and window switch are used. A tune is also good to get. The stock block can handle a good deal of HP. You just dont want to get any detonation while using a shot that high or else it goes boom.

Anyone runig a 300 would probably use for track only and then have the 100-150 for the street.
I mean I'm a Nitrous Newbie but wouldn't a shot be safe as long as your fuel system is upto it.

if you want to run a big shot then i would consider making it either a dual stage or using a progressive controller but either way i would definetly look at hsw's stand alone fuel system as another safty precaution
