Default FS: water damaged 1st Gen. 8GB IPhone

Long story short, was at the beach, phone was in pocket, I somehow ended up in the water, took phone apart immediately to try and dry it out, sent it back to Apple, they sent it back to me unrepaired. I have no idea if it can be fixed or not, but I have no use for it.

I honestly have no idea what it's worth, but it comes with everything it originally came with in the original box. I know I'm supposed to post a price, but if the mods could help me out here and let people help me suggest a price, that would be awesome. If not, I understand, and will try to come up with some price.

I know why Apple wouldn't fix it, I was just wondering how much I could sell it for.

OK.....just looked around Ebay and other places, and water damaged phones are going for around $200. I'll take $150 shipped for it.

The bad part is that, if you don't mind the contract, you can get the new phone for 200.00. You might have to drop the price or sell it for parts.

You can stuff tissue paper up the slot to hide the water mark and get a new one. Thats why they are going for so much. The little red dot that shows it got wet is up the port. They use a flashlight to check it. If they see white they give you a new one

I personally would not pay $200 for water damaged iphone, but if I was in the phone repair business, I guess this is a deal???

Yeah, but selling them on ebay and selling them on a site like this is two different things. You can sell junk on ebay and get good money for it.

That being said, this is a good guy to deal with. He will steer you straight on the condition of the phone.
