Default Pics of my new ride...

I said I would post pics as soon as I got it, and I just got home from the dealer. Unfortunately it was dark outside, so I couldn't get good daylight pics.

I took some pics of it coming off the car carrier...

And I snapped some pics in the dealer's lot...

And then I snapped some more when I got home... Had to have it sitting in my garage next to teh PuRpL3 so I can prove it's my truck.. hehehehehe.

A nice shot of the tailgate protector, and a good idea of the color here...

And I got this as a freebie... the other deal had put a drop in bedliner in the truck and I didn't have to pay for it... I'm gonna take it out and sell it... gonna go with a spray in liner... but hey... free cash is cool.

And there you go. I've only managed to put 40 miles on it, but I am gonna take it out driving tomorrow. I love the color, and it seems pretty cool so far.

I really like these trucks alot in fact I'd like two of them a 2 wheel drive version slammed to the ground and one like yours lifted to the sky.

Hope you enjoy it.

Yeah, I think they're definitely an improvement from the S10 they replaced. A lot nicer looking, a lot sturdier.. way more roomy inside. I was thinking about getting a Tacoma, but I think they totally ruined the looks of it with the 2005 model. The Colorado has a nice look... kinda like a baby Silverado.

I just wonder why they'd put the OnStar thing on the roof like that... seems kinda weird. Oh well, I will get used to it.

It's gonna get a spray in bed-liner and a canopy here real shortly.

now you just need to drop an LS1 in there

I heard rumors of an LS2 powered Colorado SS, but I doubt it will ever happen. I like those pickups.

Good looking ride Zeke. It isn't purple though .

There are all kinds of rumors about the future of the LS2. Most are just that: rumors.

I think if I still have it when the warranty expires, I may consider doing a V8 conversion on it. I know it will fit.

As for wheels/tires... Yeah, I'm planning on getting some 17x9.5" and Goodyear F1 GS-D3's for the Formula.

As for the truck... just a spray in bedliner and a canopy, then I'm done. Every dime I spend on the truck is one less I spend on the Formula, and I'm kinda tired of sitting in the 13-second tent. Only been there since 1998. Time to move up. I'm gonna run 12's this year if it kills me.

Probably mid 16's in the 1/4. 0-60? Uuuhh, about a minute. No idea, really... they don't post those kinds of stats on trucks. The thing I do like about it is that the engine maintains it's peak torque level across 90% of the powerband... it's surprising for a 5-banger. Seems to get damn good gas mileage for a truck, too.

It's definitely going to make a few passes down the 1320, though.

Oh... here's some more pics... I got some in the daylight today. I love how sometimes it looks almost black... and then when the sun hits it the green comes out. Gonna look sharp once I get some Zaino on it.

Thanks, man

I'm liking it so far... it seems to be a nice truck. Would probably be better if it wasn't already reminding me it's a GM vehicle and getting me into that whole "warranty" loop so soon... But it's just minor ****, so I'm not real put out by it.

My stereo does not seem to like to remember what time it is... and I have a turn signal that's taking on some water...

But it's nice to drive... comfortable... quiet. And I'm getting 21 mpg in the city with it, so I'm not complaining.

We have been debating between a GMC or a Chev for a full size truck - not sure yet but I lean towards a diesel GMC.
The problem is we can get a brand new Chev at 'employee' cost, the GMC is under invoice but not as much of a break on price.

WWYD?

After looking at your (favorite color) new tonka its hard not to think Chevy. Nice ride

Not by a long shot I've got one too .... and .. umm .. my truck is faster than your trucks

PS Ryan K you stay out of this lol !

Nice looking truck you got there Evil. That was the color I was looking for, but wound up with a pewter one instead. It's kind of nice to have a vehicle that doesn't show it's dirt very well for once.

Yeah, that is one thing about this color... it shows dirt like a sumbitch. Gonna be a PITA to detail, too.. it's really dark... but man it looks nice in the sun.

I have the only truck among us with an odd number of cylinders.. LOL.

Oh, I had to sneak in a mod on it there, too... that drop in bedliner had to go, and I replaced it by having the bed sprayed with Line-X.

I'm ready to put this puppy to work now... I got a shitload of scrap lumber I need to haul to the dump.

LOL I have had my 99 Silverado K1500 for about 4months now. (v8 powered baby)

Zeke I think your truck has right about 220hp would run right about 16s about the same time as a 305 3rd gen Camaro.

22 mpg baby and fits in a "compact" parking space.

My guess is high 16's, these things are kinda heavy for their size.
