GM Employee pricing.......
Well, I know it has been discussed here before, but I witnessed it 1st hand yesterday. My parents drove up to Valley Olds (which is non-existent now)/Cadillac/GMC in Mt Vernon and bought a 2005 GMC Envoy SLT 4WD/AWD loaded to the gills!!! (And yes, it has both normal 4WD AND AWD)
Sticker Price/MSRP was $37,505.00 PLUS "Northwest Market Adjustment" ( ) of $2,495!!!! They drove outta there with that sucker, which has every option available except the navigation (which they didn't want anyway) for $30,404.90 (plus tax, license, etc)!!!!!!! PLUS they were given $1,200 MORE for their trade in ('99 Chrysler Concorde LXi) then any other dealer had offered them! It pays to go on Father's Day to a dealership out of the way when the salesman/finance manager/jack of all trades is the guy who inspects the car and offers right about what KBB "Trade-In" value is.
And before anyone says that the dealership made up for it in financing or on the back end, my folks paid cash for the truck. After the trade in, tax, license, dealer fees, registration, etc, they wrote a check for about $28k and drove home in their new truck.
So, if anyone wants/needs/can afford to do this by July 5th, I highly recommend it.
I also recommend that particular dealership as it was the 1st time I have ever talked to/dealt with a saleman that I didn't wanna punch in the face.

We have been thinking about a truck but the deisels are still way too much, haven't noticed much of a price drop on any Chev deisel truck

I hear you on pricing. I wanted a Duramax 2500HD, but they were about $6k more than the 6.0L that we wound up getting and I just didn't want to pay it. Oh well the 6.0L tows my car just fine if not with the same economy as a Duramax.

Plug cap as in spark plugs? Well there's your problem right there... no spark plugs on diesels. lol
I didn't do a whole lot with mine... but what I did have to do, I didn't have any trouble climbing up there and getting it done.

Not the same as what you would stuff into a truck or could.
RV lingo is slightly confusing and you have two fuel filters with an "air filter" bigger than most gas tanks (gas, not diesel).
Think "the lower deck" and you got it
