Pricing for Cam Install (Is this a good price?)
A buddy of mine is looking to go w/ a Cam Setup on his car, but do you all think this is a good price.
I know for my H/C, Diff, and tune. It came out to 2k, so $1,400 seems pretty good for parts and install. The way I figure it parts probably cost ~$700, so install and tune for $700 seems like a pretty good deal. I think I'm gonna tell him to jump on it, especially since it's a well known tuner (which will come w/ a warranty).

**** that...Save 900 bucks and install it yourself, then get it tuned. That is a lot of coin and mti is a reputable shop, but anybody with a floor jack, stands, and a few basic hand tools can do a cam in these cars.
Hey ray, is it a y or f-bod?

Like you said Rey, there's $700+ worth of parts, figure ~ $350 for a good tune, so that leaves $350 for labor. Not bad considering you have to remove the P/S cernter link to replace a cam in a Vette!

He's in TX Nate, a little south of Houston to be exact. But he does appreciate the gesture.
Good Point Mark.
