Price it would cost to paint whole car with Candy flake
I need to repaint my 99 z28 soon because there are a lot of small scratches and nicks all over the car and was wandering whats the average cost to paint the whole car with candy flake? I put on a ulta z hood last week and am looking to go with black and silver candy. Any input would be helpful thanks.

most overall paint jobs (not including jams) start out at 3500 and go up from there.
that is just a basic scuff and shoot with R+I's and wet sand and buff.
you want to change the color of the car so that means you might have to paint the jams, so now the means more money if you want it done right

correct,
a complete color change and on top of that you want a candy with metal flake, the material alone is going to be close to 1,000, plus all the r&i work, plus all the body work, jobs like this start where i work at 6,000 and go up
you will pay for the quality and labor, one shop i worked for complete jobs went for 10k we dont come cheap lol

well my car is all black anyway but I need to repaint it because I have a lot of air bubbles in my paint. Thats the way I bought it so I would keep the color black but candy black.

candy colors invovle more labor which mean more time which means more money
gloss black?? everything is "gloss" as you say it has a clear coat on it, unless you go with a flat color

Like said, a good paint job with all the prep work, body work (if needed) jambs, and engine bay, as well as clearing is 7k and up.
For those who can seriously do their own body work, thats great and you should. That is 90% of any paint job. Spraying the car is easy.
