Thumbs up 02 SOM Z28 New Parts/Paint

Here are the updated pics of my 2002 Camaro Z28. I had the entire car repainted and had some custom body work done to make the car look cleaner and more vibrant. I had the same color applied but the entire car has 2 coats of color and 10 coats of high quality clearcoat so it has more depth and shine. Here is my list of mods that I accomplished.

-Shaved/Relocated Antenna
-Shaved rear side marker lights
-Shaved/Smoothed front bumper cover and painted flat black
-Side drip molding removed
-Whistler modded headlights
-Smoothed/Painted SOM Brake Calipers/Powerslot Rotors/SS Brake Lines
-OE Wheels C6 Z06 Deep Dish Wheels
-Nitto NT05'S on all 4 corners (295/35/18's out back)
-New nose emblem
-Full UMI Suspension
-Strano Springs
-SS Spoiler
-Sunoco Hood
-Sunoco Stripes (Black)

Here is what she looked like before:

And Now:

The car goes back to the body shop to get the hood adjusted correctly when I come back to the states on leave from Japan. Let me know what you think of the new look!

IMO I believe that chrome is quite overplayed which is the reason I chose to do something different. That's the beauty of having different wheel finishes. To each is own.. Thanks for the feedback guys, I like knowing that the LS1tech community agrees with the mods that have been done.

looks great - like the hood. Looks like it is sitting lower in the back than the front from the pics I'm seeing. Hose mod?

I did complete the hose mod in the rear and I really like the stance that the Strano springs gave me. I have another tail panel at home that I am going to get painted black when I tear my sail panel off and replace it to eliminate the bubbles on top. I will try the Berger panel but we'll see if it looks good or not. I wish I could do all of this now but I won't be home to do anything until July 2011. So my plans are only limited by my time that I have home. Thanks for the great comments and ideas guys!

Looks awesome!

Now please have a pro detail it. I can see the body shop-installed holograms and buffer trails on the sail panel from here!

Funny you mention the sail panel. I just sent the car back to the shop to get the hood adjusted and decided to have the sail panel replaced because it was starting to get the bubbles. I told the guy not to worry about the sail panel when he was detailing the car after paint because I was going to get it replaced anyway! lol The car is also getting a full wetsand and buff, these pics were taken about 3 days after it left the shop. I ran out of time on leave and I had to go to Japan so I just wanted to at least drive it for a little. I will post pics when he is finished working with the paint.

I'd bet a dollar that I know who made that hood.

Hey so do your headlights have a "full whistler" mod or is it partial? How's the light output?

I painted everything in the headlight housing black except the reflector area directly behind the bulbs. The light ouput is still great and I saw no change or decrease in light emittance.
