Who has painted/had painted a Raptor hood?
I bought a used Raptor hood from a friend here on LS1tech. The air path had been cut out more than the hood came originally, but nothing a little clean up work won't straighten out. However, I've taken it to a few shops and they've been a bit hesitant to take on the job. My question is how much work did yours require before you (or your painter) could lay down color? Would you consider it factory fit and finish after it was done?

there prob hesitant on taking the job cause they would want to blend the hood to the fenders while on the car to make it match so they wont have it come back on them by the color not matching.. are you just wanting the hood painted and then put on ?

I figured as long as I'm getting the hood painted, might as well fix some other flaws. The biggest one is the sail panel bubbling, but I have the new part. Just needs paint and stick it on. I've gotten a few more quotes and considering the spread out nature of the work, they're quoting me full resprays, which is fair. I've gotten quotes of 4k, 6k and 15-20k (last one is a hot rod painter who would make the gaps perfect, hence the price). I either need to rethink fixing all the flaws or save up some more cash.
