That looks sick. The matte gold look matches really well.

I was saying Hurst because they had the black and gold ws6 running around at the time.

While I agree plasti-dip is great stuff, DipYourCar is NOT the manufacture of plasti-dip, when you say "their" you imply dipyourcar as the maker which they are not. Plasti-dip is made by Performix. Yes DipYourCar has developed better application methods and found ways to improve it with flakes and stuff but that doesn't make them the manufacture of the dip itself.

Don't get me wrong Plasti-dip wouldn't be where it is today if not for them and there videos are very helpful.

I dipped my C5 wheels on my B4C white with glossifier because, why not? Still need to clean off the tires, just wanted to throw this up here!

By the way, the sportster in the foreground is dipped in pearl white.

Pearl mix of 4 different pearls and clear glossifier. .. first try and I did not enjoy the texture or the inconsistent wettness. I would think that's from not having much experience with it. I'm a much better painter with conventional bc/cc

did you use a HVLP paint gun? and if so how much did you thin it? i sprayed mine with one and thinned it 1:1 and it played down super smooth. the electric guns seem to go on too thick and cause terrible orange peel.

I used a conventional gun with about 4:1 thinner. If I were to do it again I would probably thry exactly the way you said. I have an hvlp gun with a 1.5 tip that I think would work perfectly for this application. Maybe I should try again?

For those of you that have dipped the whole car, how well does it hold up over time? Along with that, when you do eventually remove it, how easy does it peel?

What gun do you use with the HVLP setup? Reason I ask is because my car I need to do body work and I'd like it to be presentable until I can do a bc/cc paint job in between.

Thanks man! The kid loves it and it's a blast to see him ride it. Just wish they had all these options on a power wheel when I was a kid lol, I had a custom painted Bigfoot power wheel. ... I met Q from pimp my ride at a NOPI car show and his son had a escalade with custom paint and interior. .. brought back so many memories I had to do something for my son..
