Default Hood and Spoiler different color?

On my 2001 SS my hood and spoiler are the same color as each other but are a tad bit off from the rest of the car. It is only noticeable in certain lighting situations and angles. Is this common or is this a tell tell sign of paintwork, i believe the spoiler may have been painted because of bubbles in the paint and overspray on the gas tank. This has always bugged me about my car and i figured it wouldnt hurt to ask!
Thanks,
Austin.

Could be repaint/poor bodywork

Or could be the fact that the SS/WS6/Firehawk hoods (and SS spoilers) were painted separately and put on in a different facility... I remember seeing brand new SLP cars on the dealer lots with mismatched body panels

Our cars have less than stellar paints jobs anyway so it is probably normal. My spoiler and doors have so much orange peel.
