i made a booboo help me fix it please!
well i decided it was time to scuff and paint my factory 10 spoke ss wheels yesterday so i bought the supplies and got after it. i used a red scotch pad from autozone to do all of my scuffing with and decided it was a good idea to spray the wheel down with brake cleaner after i scuffed it... BAD IDEA! now i have a huge mess on my hands and am not really sure what to do to fix it. some of the clear coat has turned to goo and some of it is still stuck on the wheel...i've already painted and cleared the other 3 wheels so now i need to focus on this one. what should i do? sand it, prime it, scuff it, paint it? or.....
any help is greatly appreciated
thanks
Daniel

Any chemical I could use to finish taking the clear off maybe? I guess I could just spray more brake cleaner on it. Or would that start to take the base coat off too?

use paint striper to take off the old stuff wash it with soap and water. then use wax and greese remover. and it will come out like you have never touch it. and btw red scotch bright is to corse use a gray next time.
