The one with the cowl AND the scoop may be too much for some people's taste but it definitely stands out. (my buddy had one on a black z28 and I liked it) On a bright color I don't think I would like it all but I do on black. The other hood I love because it's a clean but agressive look.
I included some pics of the one with the scoop. ignore the picture with the honda grill (it obviously didn't stay on), just having some fun

that looks good but its an SS....
idk maybe its just me but i hate when someone puts an SS style hood and SS wing on a non SS car... it just irritates me trying to make it look like somthing its not... thats why i like a Sunoco on a z28

Lol would you turn down a girl you are interested in cause she had fake *****? I wouldn't I would go with the best available hood for a Camaro whither i had a Z28 or an SS as long as its not a V6 it fine for me

I had the VFN 3" SS hood on my car for a while and i ended up trading it for an OEM SS hood. Its not functional and all it does is get your engine bay super dirty... It looks sick but its hard to see over during aggressive cornering too. Still a nice hood though.

i would go with ss clone. looks stock most of the time. but if you dont want to be a "clone" then i would vote the more rounded style of cowl hoods. i persoanlly do not like the boxed style cowl hoods. and dont go any bigger than 2". i think my friend has a 3" and you CANNOT SEE ANYTHING PAST IT...

I don't think most people are "trying to make it look like somthing its not." I think they are putting on what they like. Also, you do realize the irony of you complaining about putting an SS hood on a non SS vehicle then saying you would go with the Sunoco right?

the Sunoco car was never a factory offered car. its fine cloning a car that wasn't easily available... but if you want an SS hood and wing... why did you not just go get an SS?
ive had a Z28 also and i guess its just to me they dont make z28's anymore and only camaros were z28's so i just dont feel like they should be made to look like a different variant of the camaro... make sense???

I don't understand the thought process behind "It is fine to clone a rare car, not a common one."
Regardless, to the OP: I say get whatever hood you want. Just as others have suggested don't go crazy with the cowl. Vision does become an issue at a certian point.
