Default Auto painting Guru's... a quick ??

I am dropping off my 2000 z28 @ the paint shop on Monday to get the Sunoco hood painted to match my LPM car.

The guy has a reputable shop here in town and has been in the business for years. He says that the hood will be done the following day.. Not that i am complaining.. but can this be done?

I will go back on tuesday to show him where to lay the black stripe, then he will clear coat it...

My question is, Is one day enough time to prep, paint a Sunoco hood? The hood has been on my car for two months curing in the sun.

Thanks for your time.

I'm assuming he's going to seal and spray, so if the hood is that nice and doesn't need to be primed and blocked, yes it is possible.
Even possible to prime / bake / sand / spray base, but that's kind of rushing the products. but can be done with good results..
If he's a reputable shop, i'm sure he knows what he is doing.

VFN hoods come pretty much all set up and ready to go. He will probably go over it real quick, but find that it's mostly done. Then he'll just spray it, booth dry it and let that bitch go! Is he blending with your bumper and fenders? That could take a bit longer, and I would suggest you get that done.

He does have a paint booth... We are going to paint just the hood initially, he is going to have me come look @ it. If i like it.. We go on to the striping... If not, he will blend the fenders, front clip..

we'll see... thanks for the feedback!
