I've got a question for you guys...
How much are you expecting to pay for shipping!? You guys do realize that an iron block needs to be placed on a 40x48 pallet and weighs MORE THAN 20lbs... RIGHT!?
I hunt and hunt to find the best price and in the end I get told that it's too much... Well those that may be interested in the block, I'm making it quite clear NOW.... It WILL cost more than $50 to ship this thing!
PLEASE use some common since before you PM me about shipping.... It's going to cost you $250+! So PLEASE don't waste my time if you can't grasp the concept of shipping a 400lb engine!
I don't mean to be a dick, but I have gotten quotes now for 8...EIGHT...VIII...OCHO... AKHT...HACHI....8 people and all I can assume is they were expecting $50 to ship or something... who knows. And for each of those 8 people I called at least 4 different shippers to find the best price; that's 24 calls with an average call time of 10 min.... that's 4 HOURS!!! So again I ask.... please think about the situations and expect an answer accordingly.

You might consider making an account through freightquote.com, they have some pretty decent prices far as freight goes. You most likely won't get a cheaper quote somewhere else. Takes me about 5 minutes to do a quote on their website. Blocks usually go as a class 70 or 85 depending on the company.
I'm in need of a std bore 4" block, have bought three now and all have had cylinder wall issues upon arrival and have needed some amount of boring. Really giving up on a used one or I might be interested. New seems the only reliable way to go.

I wish I could just get a blanket quote to cover everybody, but that's not realistic. What's more, no one takes into account that you need to buy a pallet - $25+, straps - $15+, and gas to the loading dock which is an hour a way, so a 2 hour round trip for me. I mean come on!!!
As for my block, it a clean block; only thing is, it's dirty as hell with a little surface rust, lol, does that make since
Thanks for the tip Bro!

I use 85 for all my quotes, what is class 70? I will give them a try.
