Being able to set VATS to "none" with HPTuners is disabling VATS. Whether it disables the fuel shut down signal or not, you are able to start the vehicle with any blank key. This, to me anyways, is VATS being disabled.

I wrote you a very long explanation and it did not post . i will try again.
You want a quick, cheap 100 dollar solution . You have a what i think is a ls1 97-02 motor you want to start with. I wish it were that easy. I spent years and almost $20k to finally get a project past incompetence and breakage at the expert shops in many states, email and on their dynos. you are trying to avoid all of this.
The 97 and 98 have completely different pin outs. 99-02 it the target, ls truck ecu with an open licences interface is what it takes. I can get you your own hpt , or a custom file on a device. First you must understand. Auto or manual,gear ratio, tire size, fly by wire or no, map sensor, o2 sensors , a long list to set up any fuel injected computer controlled project.
post up your city and state , tell the members who you are and where you are. This is not the place to find the easy way out for free. We will help car guys to solve problems. i personally do not work for tips.
Give detail and maybe one of us with the equipment and knowledge will get you to your solution. Custom tuning via our line is 500 per hour.

And im not looking for a cheap solution.I have a 05 LS6.I know what right equipment to use and what not to use.I live 4 hrs from the nearest tuner or anyone with these capabilities.
I wasn't looking for custom tune,just vats delete.
