LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

I have ls7 from a 2013 z06. This engine will need gone through as it was run low on oil. It did not lock up or throw a rod. still was running when pulled but oil pressure was low due to cust only putting in 6 qts of oil. engine has 1400 miles on it. I also have the complete dry sump set up and oil cooler that goes with it. I can send more pics to anyone interested. 4k This is pick up only ! located in Charles town wv 25414 my number 703-728-7630

Could you clarify, are you including the dry sump setup with the engine? I'd be interested in the complete dry sump setup if not.

A spun main bearing =/= junk block. I think it's worth every bit of 4K to someone who knew what they are doing. In any case, why do you feel the need to crap on somebody's for sale thread?

96 Comp TA, I don't think anyone's trying to crap on somebody else's post but while LS7's are great, they're also fragile and cracked pistons, piston sleeves, and sometimes blocks are not uncommon for these motors, especially if they've been beat on or not tuned properly (and a motor with no oil pressure is far from tip-top shape)

If I was closer I'd definably come check it out, pull the heads and pan to see what the damage is, and if everything did check out, then yes, I'd say this is a good price even if you had to go through and clean up the mains and bearings. However, cracked sleeves and blocks are far from an easy or cheap fix and I've seen LS7's with those issues for a lot less. I personally would not spend $4k without inspecting this motor in person.

Bottom line, I don't think it's fair to say whether this a good deal or not over the internet.

Personally, I would delete this post and repost it if I had speculators commenting on it.. It's a for sale post, not a "what's your opinion" post. Value is NOT always determined solely by the list price vs the market price of the goods sold.

But having said; in the event anything changes where you (seller) decide to split the dry sump setup from the longblock, please PM me. Otherwise, I wish you the best in your sale!!

I agree with LS7Bird, people shouldn't come on a for-sale post and endorse or dismiss an item they don't know about. Everyone loves to say it's a "steal" but rarely put their money where their mouth is, meanwhile saying it's a ripoff isn't helping anyone either as someone may have no issue paying that price

ss25414, I would also post this on some Corvette pages, you'll probably get a lot more interest from the Z06 guys on it
