Default PCM Bad?? How to find out??

Is there a way to find out if the PCM in a 98 Trans Am may be damaged or bad in some way. We are starting to wonder if it may be the cause of my repeated 3-4 clutch failures in my car and i was wondering if it was possible to check it out someway???

Ok on 2nd thought there is a check you can do. The 3-4 shift solenoid driver in the pcm can be scoped (w/a digital storage osilliscope) & made sure it can hold the solenoid to ground to activate it.
A bad driver will "bounce" a ground & the result is a engaging/disengaging device.
It cannot exceed 700 millivolts, after that it will lose enough continuity to ground to flow sufficient amperage to operate the device.
This type of failure is RARE & difficult to find/diagnois.
Have seen this b-4 but not on a shift driver.
