Does anyone know what I can do here, I have an 08 TBSS and use a friends HP tuners cable, I paid the credits for what I thought was my "VIN" but I guess not. Anyway, we've been tuning with HP tuners for 6 months now and I had a wiring problem in the wiring harness that shorted out and the dealership put in a new ecm. They put it back to my VIN, but I guess their is a serial number check also, so now it's saying I have to spend $100 again on credits, even though my VEHICLE is already licensed with them. Does anybody know how to get around this or am I just f*cked? I thought HPtuners was licensed to your vehicle aka VIN? I need to get a tune back on it so I can drive it again, it doesn't like the stock tune and mods and it is my only vehicle now.

Is efilive the same way?

Single vcm licenses are locked to the vcm id number in the pcm, I believe efi is like this as well.
