I will be in their neck of the woods next week, so I will drop by and see what they are about. I already checked out their site and all of their references. It soulds like they do a great job and have lots of real world knowledge. They seem focused on teaching the user how to troubleshoot. Afterall, if you cannot do that, all you will ever know is how to enter numbers that someone else thinks will work.
On the other side of it - how long will it be before someone just starts mass producing what they are selling for a whole lot cheaper? You can't tell me that 5 guys could not go in, get 1 package and make 5 copies. I'll be honest, I'm kicking around the idea of doing just what I said. I know at least 6 other guys that would go in on a learn at home package.

I attended one of the live seminars and have that book, it has helped me tremendously and well worth the money. I went from clueless to having a general understanding of hp tuners software and what the tuning process really is. I highly recommend it, Bob at the tuning school is a great guy and very knowledgeable.

Yeah I have their beginners course as well, its a very good read for anyone looking to get into tuning and is software specific(To HPTuners). I definitely wish it were around when I first got into tuning as it really does give you a jump start in the right direction. I'm hearing the advanced learn at home course is even more in depth...I should have my copy of that soon as well.
As for price you gotta consider the amount of information(some of it inside information) being handed over to you in an easy to follow format including a tuning tree. Sure you could weed & sift through all of the internet mumbo jumbo but this will get you to the final result much quicker IMO.
