Whats the deal with ABS readers only reading 99-02 vehicles! Thanks for any insight.

98's I believe may use the old 8192 gm lan for the ABS.

A tech 2 works just fine on my 98 car.

so far thats the only 1 i've found to work. The actron, autoenginuity, and a few others only work for 99-02. Basically if i want that type of read capability i have to look to spend close to 1k instead of 200-500.

Thanks for the tip, i didn't know what type of protocol was used.
