Default clutch/neutral safety switch

What does the PCM see from this switch at pin 32 (clutch safety switch) on the blue connector for the F-body (actually GTO but I think this particular pin is the same)? Does the switch just send the PCM a ground when activated?

And does the PCM cut fuel if this switch is open during cranking? Obviously fuel isn't cut when the car is in neutral idling with the clutch pedal depressed.

I'm dealing with a start problem in my conversion. It's in a Miata and the Miata has a clutch safety switch also but it is separate from the PCM. I'm wondering if I need to wire that switch into pin 32. I'm getting no fuel.

Thanks,
Frank
