Default Cold Start Open-Loop

Since I installed my headers and lowered my IFR to get my LTFT's negative. My cold starts sucks. I am really rich and the car will not idle till it gets into closed-loop.

What can I do to lean it out when cold and open loop?

You could try lowering the MVE table in the 25-50kpa MAP and 400-1200rpm range. Lower the 400rpm column by 30-40%, the 800rpm column by 20-30% and the 1200rpm column by 10-20%. Although I think this mod works better for hot starts. I recently leaned out the IFR table on my car in the MAP range of 25kpa to 45kpa and cold starts are very nice now.

Good luck.

I'll try that, but I hope it doesn't mess up my idle when I am in closed loop.

I should also say, it happens on a warm start. But alway in open-loop.
