Absolutely! Anything that significantly changes airflow will require tuning. The engine will run without a tune, but you'll be way off of optimum performance, and in some cases, far enough off that premature engine damage can occur due to fuel or spark timing issues. Don't gamble the engine, get the tune. Other than tuning, you will also need to ensure that the cam you're buying is a 3-bolt design cam (early - Gen III LS) to fit your current cam sprocket. If it's a 1-bolt design cam (late - Gen IV LS), then you'll have to upgrade the cam sprocket as well. Good cam choice! Great for daily-driven street vehicles. Enjoy it!
