Stock ecm to megasquirt
I am in the process of removing the 3.8L gear from the engine bay in my 98 camaro and planning on going to a megasquirt setup for fuel and spark control. I really don't think I need the stock ecm for anything because I was going to run a mechanical speedometer off the turbo400 thats going in the car as well as a bunch of other seperate digital gauges and the laptop/lcd screen for other readouts. What all would I need to do to safely omit the stock ecm, and keep the radio and other interior electronics working(minus cluster)?
Option 2) Leave stock ecm hooked up and just feed it essential sensor info for cluster to readout, hookup right front wss for vss to work after recalibration, and cleanup the wiring clutter.
