Default Need help cant find problem

ok so a little background. I have an 01 ws6 a4 with pacesetter race style lontubes, ORY,magnaflow catback, SLP lid, MSD wires, NGK tr55 iridium plugs, AIR!, and it is tuned with hp tuners. the car runs consistent 8.2 at 89mph in the 1/8. about a month ago i throw the P0410 (secondary AIR code). since then the car runs rich at wot and the best it will run is 8.6 at 84mph. the air systemhas been removed in the pcm and fuse pulled for about a year now with no lights or issues at all. since the light came on I replaced 02 sensors and swapped out the MAF, then cleared the codes (neither of which seemed to help) any ideas on the problem? oh yea all the mods and tune have been done for a year and ran consistent and nothing has been changed on the car at all since.

The car needs to be scanned by the tuner (or a tuner) to see what's going on. There's quite a few possibilities as to what can be happening. Just because there is no SES light on your dash....that doesn't mean there isn't an underlying problem. SES lights can be turned off quite easily.

As I mentioned yesterday, there's quite a bit that could be going on. So, we can sit here and guess 50 different things as to what it "could" be....or....you could have someone scan the car and get some real data to make an informed decision on what the problem really is. Not trying to be a dick. But, you'll be up, up, upping this thing for a while otherwise.

Sorry - didn't realize you had HPT. I'd suggest logging the essentials...airflow (MAF...grams/sec and load...grams/cyl), IAT, fuel trims, ignition timing, MAP, ECT and any DTC's that are thrown (don't erase codes).

Then, post the log and a copy of your current tune.

The air pump wouldn't cause anything to happen other than turning the SES light on. You've got other issues.

If you have HPTuners then just disable that code.

How rich is it running? Possible a bad plug or wire?

89 is a lot of MPH for 8.2, assuming you get back to that, you should get a stall. That's enough MPH for mid 7s with a good 60'

i have a 383 stroker adn stall witing to be installed just waiting till winter, just tryin to get as much out of this as i can at the track with the few mods it has. like i said i made 40-50 8.2 passes at 89mph then the day the ses light came on thats when it started runnin rich and slowed down to 8.5 at 84mph. the air is disabled in hptuners (has been for a year) i dont know why it all of a sudden started throwin that code.

Im curious as to if the OP figured out his problem? I was unaware the 410 code could be thrown after the air system is gone....
